The Lions All-Star Game is a dynamic event showcasing the finest outstanding high school football players in the South Bay area. The players are selected from a pool of 30 high school teams. Teams include Banning, Beverly Hills, Bishop Montgomery, Carson, Centennial, Chadwick, Culver City, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood, Lawndale, Leuzinger, Mary Star, Mira Costa, Morningside, Narbonne, North Torrance, Palos Verdes, Peninsula, Redondo, Rolling Hills Prep, San Pedro, Santa Monica, Serra, South Torrance, St. Bernards, Torrance, Westchester, and West Torrance.
The rich history and tradition of this event makes it possible for the West Torrance Lions All-Star Football Game to honor our local youth for their talents. It also allows those players not yet declared for college to be seen by scouts and to be selected in furthering their football career and education.
A tradition since 1965, athletes have played in the West Torrance Lions Club All-Star game and have gone on to have tremendous college careers. Some have later excelled in professional football.
The West Torrance Lions Club has proudly hosted the All-Star Football Game since its inception to raise money and awareness for many charities. Over the years, this event has raised over $1,000,000, all dedicated to community benefit.
